How Reboot Motion is entering the B2B business
Last week I wrote the following in our midyear review:
We are a long way away from completing step one, but we are making progress:
We are working with MLB teams, and believe this work will grow when fans re-enter stadiums.
We are co-developing a mobile app with Diamond Kinetics to put objective biomechanics data in the hands of every baseball player.
And now, we are piloting Reboot Advanced
What is Reboot Advanced?
Reboot Advanced is us betting on coaches.
Great coaches evaluate data, translate it, and provide the correct drills and workouts.
Great coaches know more about their athletes than software ever can.
Great coaches help athletes perform better.
Reboot Motion wants to empower coaches. We will do this by delivering 3D Optimization Reports that echos what we provide to our MLB clients, and beat any other biomechanics report on the market.
It will be better, quicker, cheaper, and easier than existing biomechanics reports on the market.
We will start with pitching but will expand to hitting when possible.
How Reboot Advanced Works?
We are currently piloting Reboot Advanced. Our first partner, Rick Strickland Baseball, has been working with us for a few weeks. As of now, our work flow is as follows:
Rick sends motion capture data with the mo cap solution of his choice
We analyze and send back a full 3D biomechanics report
We hop on a call as needed to explain the report, with the intent that over time Rick will learn the details to need us less and less.
That’s it. That’s the entire thing.
We expect coaches to use Reboot Advanced for in depth assessments, while our mobile app with Diamond Kinetics will serve as a complement for daily use.
